# Alcance del protocolo SexyTrees: agroforestería, reforestación, chagras

### Qué cubre este protocolo

Este es un *económico* protocolo para iniciativas de restauración que buscan recuperar la función ecológica de tierras tropicales degradadas mediante *la incorporación de más árboles nativos.* Este protocolo es interoperable entre la agroforestería, la reforestación o la regeneración natural y se extiende a los tradicionales indígenas *chagras* (véase [Tabla B](#table-b-mechanisms-for-sexytrees-with-credit-revenue-options)).

Todas las actividades incluidas restauran la fertilidad del suelo, [biodiversidad](/methodology/es/biodiversity-credits/biodiversity-unit.md), [calidad del agua](/methodology/es/water-credits/water-unit.md), y [carbono basado en la naturaleza](/methodology/es/carbon-credits.md) en tierras previamente deforestadas o bajo cultivo insostenible, al tiempo que proporcionan seguridad alimentaria y medios de vida a pequeños agricultores e implementadores indígenas. Deben haber demostrado revertir o reducir la presión sobre la deforestación. Las parcelas inscritas deben segmentarse por área, ya que constituyen una variación en las actividades humanas y en el uso humano previsto; sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que la agrobiodiversidad es una unidad basada en genes.   &#x20;

*Chagras* se incluyen porque [son geniales](/methodology/es/trees/chagras.md), a menudo incluyen árboles, y sus protocolos se superponen en un subconjunto de sitios de alta calidad para la preservación de cultivos raros. Separarlos del protocolo es innecesariamente reductivo; incluirlos es sinérgico. &#x20;

Este protocolo está redactado con salvaguardas genéricas estándar para sitios que lo usan para la acreditación basada en MRV con o sin auditoría. Si se adopta bajo un organismo certificador, muchas de las secciones se simplificarán o serán redundantes, según el certificador (véase [Historial del documento](/methodology/es/historial-del-documento.md)).

### Qué no se incluye

No cubrimos el carbono de la forestación en esta metodología, aunque sí [abogamos por su inclusión](/methodology/es/carbon-credits/el-problema-del-encaje.md) en la acreditación de la capa de carbono.&#x20;

### Cumplimiento del EUDR

Como efecto secundario de pura 😎, todas las parcelas cumplen con el Reglamento de Deforestación de la UE (EUDR) y pueden demostrarlo, así que automatizamos esos certificados en la cadena de suministro desde los proveedores de base, gratis, como parte del protocolo.&#x20;
