# Deskripsi umum

Metodologi ini ditulis agar mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat umum dan untuk menyediakan kerangka bagi proyek yang ingin menerapkan VBCs. Dokumen ini memberi panduan di tingkat proyek dan contoh cara menerapkan metodologi keanekaragaman hayati. Tujuannya adalah menambah mekanisme untuk konservasi keanekaragaman hayati secara global dengan memperkenalkan atau mengikuti unsur-unsur berikut: 

* Kepatuhan terhadap [Prinsip-prinsip](/methodology/id/deskripsi-proyek/prinsip.md) kelengkapan, keandalan, kehati-hatian, konsistensi, bukti, akurasi, dan transparansi.
* Ketergantungan pada data publik yang dapat diverifikasi untuk karakterisasi ekosistem ([Penilaian garis dasar](/methodology/id/penilaian-garis-dasar.md)).  
* Penyederhanaan yang disengaja atas data utama yang diperlukan dari sebuah proyek ([Deskripsi proyek](/methodology/id/deskripsi-proyek.md)) untuk penyertaan IP dan LC.
* Interoperabel [Unit](broken://pages/78cdef8834d887577a71edac59a0b5efe818740a) untuk pemberian kredit keanekaragaman hayati yang mudah terhubung dengan proyek lain. 
* Otomatis [Perhitungan](/methodology/id/biodiversity-credits/calculation.md) dari VBCs ISBM dengan perangkat lunak sumber terbuka. 
* Kredit dapat dipakai untuk sertifikasi dan penjualan komoditas, atau hanya sebagai MRV untuk pendanaan berbasis hasil.
