# وصف المشروع

يعرّف وصف المشروع بياناتٍ خاصة بالموقع، ومولَّدة من المشروع، ومميّزة للنظام البيئي، وكذلك الشعوب الأصلية و/أو المجتمعات المحلية التي تنفّذ المشروع. 

يرتبط احتساب أرصدة التنوع البيولوجي ارتباطًا وثيقًا بوجود الأنواع المؤشرة داخل حدود المشروع، وبالامتداد بذلك، بوجود نظام بيئي محفوظ، ليس فقط من أجل الموائل، بل أيضًا من أجل جماعات التنوع البيولوجي. 

وعليه، تُكافَأ المشاريع لا على الأنشطة، ولا على التوقعات، بل على النتائج، على أساس سنوي متواصل.
